The Rector of Andijan State Medical Institute, M. Madazimov, visited several cities in India to strengthen cooperation and open representative offices of the institute in India. During his visit, Madazimov held meetings with the heads of higher education institutions and famous clinics in India to develop medical and educational tourism.
On April 16, Madazimov visited Balaram Pura, Kerala state, where he met with parents and relatives of Indian students studying at Andijan State Medical Institute. During the meeting, a special presentation was held on the conditions created at the institute for students to study, live, and spend their free time meaningfully. Madazimov also gave detailed answers to the questions of the parents.
On April 17, Madazimov visited Dr D. Y. Patil University in Pune, Maharashtra. During his visit, the head of the institute visited the “Ayuverdi” treatment centre and got acquainted with its activities and the educational processes of students. A memorandum on further training of specialists of Andijan State Medical Institute in this clinic on high-tech treatment methods and opening a joint educational program in the field of Ayurveda was signed between the rector of the university, professor P.D. Patil, vice-rector, and professor N.J. Pawar.
Furthermore, on April 17, Madazimov held a meeting with Professor Vijay Khare, International Center Director of Savitribai Phule Pune University. During the meeting, they shared experiences in the field of educational and scientific potential, material and technical base, and international relations of the university. Finally, a memorandum was signed on cooperation in two important directions: Medical Engineering and Ayurvedic Medicine.
Dr. D. Y. Patil University, located in Pune, Maharashtra, has a medical bioengineering sphere and design, marine engineering, journalism, mechanics, management, tourism, and hotel management. It was agreed on cooperation between ASMI and this university in these fields.
After the cooperation meetings, the hosts invited the guests to the museum of the famous Indian actor Raj Kapoor for cultural entertainment and shared interesting information about the life and work of the legendary actor.
