1 Chemical Engineering

• Vishwakarma Institute of Technology offers an undergraduate degree in Chemical engineering in 1999 with an intake capacity of 60 students.

• The department is run by Dr. Manik Deosarkar along with highly qualified and experienced doctoral staff striving to built beneficial industrial relations.

2 Computer Engineering

• Vishwakarma Institute of Technology offers an undergraduate degree in computer engineering in 1991 with an intake capacity of 180 students.

• The department focuses on core domain areas of computing and programming structure to explore student’s analytical abilities.

• The department has 12 laboratories and large-scale equipments such as High-frequency counters, Pneumatic trainer kit, Combiscopes, Digital signal processors MATLAB etc.

4 Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

• The department was established in the year of 1999 which offers the B.Tech undergraduate degree in Electronics and Telecommunication with intake capacity of 60 students.

• It also provides postgraduate and specialty courses for the students. The department strives to cater the need of technical brilliance in respective areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

• The department also granted for research projects in robotics. The department has 11 well-equipped laboratories such as VLSI design, Digital signal processing, Analog communication, Microwave engineering, and fiber optic communication.

5 Mechanical Engineering

• The department was established in the year 1986 which offers the 4-year undergraduate degree in B.Tech of Mechanical Engineering with intake capacity of 180 students.

6 Instrumentation Engineering

• The Instrumentation Engineering department was established in 1992 which offers the 4-year undergraduate degree with an intake capacity of 180 students.

• Instrumentation Engineering is an interdisciplinary branch covers the major aspects of mechanical, electronics, chemical, computer engineering.

• The department involves applications of instruments for measurement of controls and design of instruments.

7 Information Technology

• The department was established in the year 2001 which offers an undergraduate degree in Information technology with intake capacity of 60 students.

8 Industrial Engineering

• The Industrial engineering department was established in the year 1984 followed by the production engineering program in 1999.

• The department offers the 4-year undergraduate program with an intake capacity of 60. The department also provides industrial internships, student exchange programs, with foreign universities in the form of a board of studies, industrial advisory board etc.

• Apart from core activities, the department also encourages students to participate in co-curricular activities like technical paper presentations, international conferences, and research projects.

Internships at VIT

• The VIT institute offers the internship for final year students.

Eligibility Criteria: For B.tech Course

• The candidates must have passed a higher secondary examination from the recognized board.

• The candidates must be 10+2 passed with compulsory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

• The candidates need to score 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in their academics.

• The candidates must have appeared for JEE main/CET.

• The candidate must be Indian national.
