Eligibility Criteria

Students must fit into the below mentioned eligibility criteria to take admission to TalTech University:

  • Candidates with at least 60% of the highest possible CGPA are eligible to apply for TalTech courses. In addition, country-specific requirements apply to all the candidates. Please note, candidates should refer to their country specific requirements while applying to Tallinn University of Technology.

  • Please note that for students or candidates who are applying for the Master's programmes, it is mandatory to upload a GRE test score report.

  • GRE Designated Institution (DI) Code for TalTech University is 5019. Specific GRE requirements are available under each programme page of TalTech University. Only candidates that have graduated from an

  • Estonian university with a Bachelor's degree are waived from the GRE requirement.

  • To apply for the studies candidates must have a proof of English language proficiency through one of the following tests:- IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge English First, Advanced, or Proficiency,Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE A), Latvian and Lithuanian Secondary Education State Exam, or TalTech English Test.

Admission Process

Students should follow the below given process to take admission to TalTech University:

    Step 1: An application can only be considered if the electronic application form has been submitted by the candidate during the application period and all the required application documents of the candidate have been received by the given deadline.

    Step 2: Students should create an application in DreamApply, and should upload it after filling personal details.

    Step 3: Students or candidates should upload -
    Their education documents (final or most recent) and official English translations
    copy of passport page with identification details (document needs to be valid during application process) proof of English
    GRE Score Report, if applicable (when applying to Master's programmes)

    Step 4: Candidates should Type in their motivation letter (3000-5500 characters).

    Step 5: Students can submit the application once they have paid the application fees.

    Step 6: Application of students will be pre-evaluated within 7 working days only after receiving their application fee.

    Step 7: Candidates will be contacted personally to agree on the interview date and, if applicable, they will be given instructions about the entrance exam.

    Step 8: After passing the interview and test, candidates will be conditionally accepted. Only the selected candidates are asked to send their documents by post.

    Step 9: It takes almost a month for the ENIC/NARIC center to assess the documents of candidates.

    Step 10: The final acceptance letter will be issued by the university to the candidates after the university has-
    received applicant's DreamApply confirmation for the study offer
    received all the required documents by post
    received a positive evaluation for students’ education documents from ENIC/NARIC
    received the first-year tuition fee in full (if applicable for the particular course)

    Step 11: After receiving the final acceptance letter by email students should start applying for the TRP and/or D-visa.

    Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) provides housing facilities to its students at different premises:

    • The accommodation that the university offers is altogether known as a ‘Student village’. The hostels and dormitories in this village use most of the advanced technologies, such as digital locks to the doors everywhere inside the village premises, and provide full security to students.

    • The student village at TalTech has a total of approximately 2,200 accommodation places.

    • Most of the buildings at this village are located near the university's study buildings just at 5-7 minutes walking distances.

    • The exceptions to this are Siidisaba 7 (Silk Tail 7) student dormitory, which is located on the border of the city center in Kristiine district, and Kalevi 4 student dormitory which is located in Kohtla-Järve (Ida-Virumaa).

    • There are different types of boxes and rooms in this village for students’ stay that allow students to choose between living alone, in pairs or in fours. Students can also use facilities for laundry and car and bicycle parking while living in these hostels or dormitories.

    • There are also indoor and outdoor games, gyms and other activities for students where they can spend their leisure time.

    • All the rooms and boxes have separate kitchens, toilet and shower facilities with all the necessary furniture for students.
