St. Joseph's Institute of Management is located in Bangalore, India and it is a private graduate school of business.

The institute is situated in the heart of metropolitan city Bangalore and it was established in 1968.

It is the institute managed by the members of the Society of Jesus called Jesuits and it is one of the oldest management institutes in the state of Karnataka.In 1996, for a 2 year full-time PGDM program, SJIM secured approval from AICTE, New Delhi.

There are more than 8000 students enrolled at the Post Graduate and Undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management disciplines and Computer in its four independent Colleges namely:

There are 3 different courses at SJIM:
1 Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

  • It has two years duration and it is the flagship program of the Institute.

  • The whole program consists of six trimesters.

  • After the third trimester, students take up industry internships for eight weeks.

  • The institute offers dual specialization in Human Resource, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Operations.

2 Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (E-PGDM)

  • This course is for working professionals with at least two years of work experience.

  • It is of 15 months’ duration.

  • The core requirements are covered in the subjects taught to students to manage a business or a new venture.

  • A project work of 10 to 12 weeks is included in the course.

  • It is a certificate course of 12 months’ duration in management.

Eligibility Criteria - For Studying PGDM at SJIM

  • To become eligible for the admission to PGDM at SJIM applicants need to be graduates from any discipline having at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

  • Additional 2-year work-experience is also compulsory for EPGDM.

  • An applicant has to appear for an Entrance Test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) like CAT, XAT or MAT on an all-India basis. Some other entrance tests are also accepted by SJIM.
