Departments of Engineering at PICT

Following are different of Engineering at PICT:-

1. First-Year Engineering
   This department provides a strong foundation for the students pursuing engineering course.
   This department helps students in making their fundamentals strong and to develop their logical and analytical skills, which will also help them to prosper in their further years of education and career.

2. Computer Engineering
   The Computer Engineering department started in the year 1983-84.
   This department is known for student placements and excellent results.
   The computer engineering department consists of 15 well-equipped laboratories.

3. ENTC EngineeringENTC stands for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
   This is a department which commenced from the academic year 1995-96.
   The college has current student intake capacity which is 240.
   The college has 16 well-equipped laboratories.
   The student-faculty ratio at this faculty is 20:1 and hence students can be given individual attention by the teachers.

4. Information TechnologyFrom the academic year 2001-2002, the bachelor of engineering in information technology started with an intake capacity of 60 students.
   Today, the intake capacity of the department is 180.
   This department offers separate computing facilities which consist of Modern PCs with high internet facility, high-end servers.

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Course at PICT

• Candidate should have passed a higher secondary examination with an aggregate of 50% for general category and 45% for scheduled caste from recognized university/ Institute of India.

• Candidates should have taken Mathematics, Physics as compulsory subjects.

• Candidates should have one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects too.

Admission Procedure for Engineering Course at PICT

Step 1: On the official website of the PICT, candidates can apply online or offline.

Step 2:The candidates can pay the fee through Online or offline mode, an online mode such as NEFT / RTGS or offline through DD.

Step 3:Admission in B.E programs at PICT college of Engineering is strictly through the merit and rank scored in MHT CET and JEE Main. MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a ../common entrance test organized to provide admission in Engineering & Technology and Allied Health Sciences courses offered by various government and private colleges of Maharashtra state.

Step 4:After the result announcement of MHT-CET and JEE Main, counseling will be organized. Admission will be decided only on the basis of merit and counseling result.
