1. Computer Science and Engineering

• Department of computer science and engineering provides state of art computing facilities imparting training and research programmes in various discipline.

• The department has a collaboration with various areas of industry for delivering quality education to each engineering aspirant.

• The department is affiliated with a professional body of computer society of India (CSI) through which students can participate in conference programs conducted on a national and international level.

• The institute has a software development hub and technical development club to develop projects and consultancy work.

2. Information Science and Engineering

• Department of Information Science and Engineering associated with a professional body like IEEE, ISTE, CSI etc.

• Students at the departments have developed mobile applications like Indian sweet recipes, Bangalore hangouts etc.

• The institute organizes live projects and research projects for improvement of software skillset of students.

• The department involves the study of data handling, information management, programming, embedded applications.

3. Electrical and Electronics Engineering

• Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers 4-year undergraduate programmes which provide an in-depth study of electrical circuits, analog, digital and power electronics.

• During the course of study, students can undertake the certified courses in network analysis, the design of electrical equipment, signal analysis and study of microcontroller circuits.

4. Electronics and Communication Engineering

• Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for a period of 3 years.

• The department has a well-equipped laboratory of robotics and industrial automation, national instruments.

5. Aerospace Engineering

• Department of Aerospace engineering offers the 4-year undergraduate course affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by AICTE.

• The program provides a study of aerospace structural design, space vehicle design, space mechanics, satellite designs and spacecraft systems.

• Aerospace engineers have remunerative career scope in design, manufacturing, testing, development, operation, maintenance of flight vehicle.

6. Aeronautical Engineering

• Department of Aeronautical engineering offers the 4-year undergraduate degree for UG students.

• The department is affiliated with VTU and students of the department have secured VTU rank every year.

• The department established a center of excellence in aircraft design. Industry relations have been maintained by conducting workshops, projects, internships, and industrial visits.

7. Mechanical Engineering

• Department of mechanical engineering accredited by National Board of Accreditation and recognized as a research center for pursuing Ph.D.

• The department associated with the professional body of Society of Automotive Engineers. (SAE).

• The department has active participation in developing projects like Solar bicycle, hybrid solar bag, automated inflation tyres, performance evaluation RAM air cooled liquid cooling system.

8. Chemical Engineering

• Department of chemical engineering has recognized as one of the research centers by VTU.

• The department has undertaken various research projects like VGST, CSIR, BRC-IIChE for evaluation of participation in student exchange programs.

• Students have been provided with great industry exposure in reputed companies like ONGC, BASF, NPCIL etc.

• Students are encouraged through participation in seminars, national and international technical paper presentations.

9. Civil Engineering

• Department of civil engineering offers a 4-year undergraduate course recognized as a research center by VTU.

• The department also provides postgraduate programs in structural engineering and transportation engineering.

• The department actively participates in building material testing, project management, structural design with the governance of the Bangalore unit.

• The programme includes the study of soil analysis, water analysis, cement testing, fine aggregate testing, steel testing, design mix etc.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be Indian national.

• The student must appear for KCET(Karnataka Common Entrance Test) examination.

• Candidates should have an aggregate of 45% in subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, vocational or non-vocational subjects.

• Eligible candidate needs to submit original documents to the admission cell of the institute.

Admission Process : For B.Tech at MVJCE

To renew the scholarship, the candidates need to score CGPA as given below every semester -

1. Merit 1 - CGPA > 7.8

2. Merit 2 - CGPA > 7.0

3. Merit 3 - CGPA > 6.0

Note:

• Any new application or renewal application of the scholarship after the due date will be rejected.

• The candidates need to re-apply, along with the result documents duly attested by the Principal.

• If any student fails to score CGPA as per the Merit structure in an academic year, he/she will not be eligible to apply for a scholarship in the next academic year. Such students need to pay the regular Tuition Fee and College Fee as per the Management Quota.

• The student needs to have 85% attendance in all the subjects.

• The student should not have been involved in any activity which is in the nature of indiscipline or tarnishing the reputation of the institution.

• If the scholarship beneficiary discontinues his/her course, the complete benefit of the scholarship

The MVJCE Scholarship Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any Scholarship Application.
