The department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering was founded in 1998.

Department of Instrumentation engineering offers the 4-year undergraduate course with an intake capacity of 60 students.

4. Mechanical Engineering
Department of mechanical engineering was founded in the year of 2008-09.
Department offers a 4-year undergraduate course with an intake of 180 students.
Department also provides a master degree in design engineering having wide exposure to industry and academics.
Mechanical engineering has job opportunities in aerospace. Manufacturing, software and automotive industries.
5. Civil Engineering
Department of civil engineering offered to students since 2010 with qualified and experienced team of professional faculty.
The main aim of the department is to provide practical skills along with professional duties, technical leadership, and lifelong learning.

6. Electrical Engineering
The department offers a 4-year undergraduate course in electronics & communication with an intake of 60 students.

7. Applied Science Engineering
Department of applied science engineering was founded in 1998 which offers the courses like engineering physics & engineering chemistry as prescribed by curriculum of the university.
Department has Physics and Chemistry laboratory with IP based national & international e-journals such as IEEE, ASME, ACSE, McGraw Hill Access Engineering library.
Eligibility Criteria for B.tech course at Dr. D. Y Patil Institute of Technology
Candidate should be HSC passed with 50% marks for General category students & 45% marks for reserved category students.
Candidate should have taken physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biology/Vocational subjects.
Candidate have to score in MHT-CET or JEE-Mains

Admission Process for B.tech Course at Dr. D. Y Patil Institute of Technology
1. MBA
Candidate needs to fill application form along with valid details.
Candidate should submit the print out of application form to facilitation center (FC) with all original documents.
After verification of the documents, a candidate will get confirmation from facilitation center for admission.
2. Merit Declaration
After confirmation of documents, provisional merit list will be declared as per availability of category-wise seats.
As per merit basis, seat allotment is done.
Candidate should report to the ARC center after first allotment is done.
After seat allotment, a candidate has to pay DD in favor of competent authority.
