Eligibility Criteria

Students who meet the following requirements are eligible to participate in the admissions process:

Bachelor Degree Programs:

  • Secondary school graduation (Grade 12)

  • Overall grade point average should be 70% in five academic courses.

  • A final grade point average of 70% in Grade 12 academic English.

Faculty of Agriculture:

  • Minimum average grade points of 75%

  • Academic English 12

  • Pre-calculus Math 12

  • Additional academic subjects (varies per program)

Postgraduate degree:

  • Required 4 years of bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines

  • Should acquire a minimum 3.0 GPA in the final year.

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL - minimum score of 90(iBT) and no less than 20 in each band.

  • IELTS – overall score should be 6.5 and no less than 6.0 in each band.

  • CAEL online – score should be 70.

  • Pearson Test of English – overall score is 61 and no less than 50.

  • Duolingo English Test - Minimum score of 115, with no sub- score below 95.

International Scholarships

Dalhousie University gives millions of dollars in scholarships and bursaries to new students each year.

Entrance scholarships:

  • These scholarships are available for future undergraduate students who completed their high school

  • Students must have an entrance average of 80% or 26 predicted/anticipated IB Diploma points.

  • A General Entrance Award Application is to be filled initially to apply for this scholarship.

  • The application deadline is March.

Renewable Scholarships:

  • Students will be directly eligible for this scholarship if they meet the requirements.

  • A certain amount of credit hours must be completed over two academic terms, as well as a minimum SGPA (scholarship GPA) must be obtained.

  • The average of the two-term GPAs is used to determine scholarship eligibility.

In-Course Scholarships:

  • Students are eligible for the scholarship only if they hold a renewable scholarship.

  • Value is $500- $2000

  • Minimum SGPA should be 3.7

When it comes to housing, students at Dalhousie Campus have a variety of choices:

  • Dalhousie residences are classified into traditional and non-traditional homes, to explore every advantage of residence life.

  • There are six resident halls at Traditional residences and two apartments at non-traditional residences.

  • A meal plan is compulsory for the students of traditional residences while an optional meal plan is available at non-traditional housing.

  • Residences are closely organized to avail athletic facilities, meeting places, classes, and friends.

  • There are no separate monthly charges for the internet, cable, and local phone all are included. There is a contract of 8-months agreement period for all the students living at residences.
