Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) was founded by Deccan Education Society in 1943. Dr. D. G. Karve was the first principle of BMCC College who was the Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India. After Dr. Karve, there is a number of members played a significant role in the development of College.
BMCC has a modern language laboratory with 5 foreign languages. The college affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune university and have produced a number of professionals like Sharad Pawar, Cyrus Poonawalla, Sulajja Firodia.
